Josh Scarpino

ForHumanity Fellow – Cybersecurity | Ethics

is the Vice President of Information Security at TrustEngine, where he leads the IT Operations and security & compliance programs and teams. He is additionally responsible for developing and managing the ethical technology program within the organization. He has over 16 years of experience in the DOD and 2 decades of experience in IT and Security. He has led security operations for Fortune 500 companies, enhanced critical controls at financial and manufacturing organizations, and led, scaled, and audited security programs throughout his career. He has spent much of his career bridging multiple areas across technology and security to include operations, governance risk and compliance, and ethical challenges within technology. He has completed his Doctorate in Cybersecurity at Marymount with research focusing on ethical technology and has a passion for educating the next generation of professionals by teaching part-time. Currently, he is partnering with ForHumanity to develop Frameworks for auditing AI systems and is continuing his research around ethical AI.
