Andrew is a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C and CIPP/E) whose work focuses on the rapidly evolving intersection of privacy, artificial intelligence, technology governance, and independent assurance.
With post graduate legal studies at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, Andrew brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the challenges organizations face as they navigate increasingly complex privacy, AI, and digital-governance requirements.
His work focuses particularly on translating regulatory principles into practical governance and technology strategies. This includes:
privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs)
GDPR readiness and privacy risk assessments
responsible data practices
trustworthy AI governance
emerging approaches to independent auditing and assurance of AI systems
Andrew is a recognized contributor to the evolving dialogue on responsible and trustworthy AI. He has published numerous articles on AI governance, regulatory developments, accountability, and responsible AI best practices, and contributes to the American Bar Association’s Business Law publications on AI regulation and governance.
As an AI Ethics Evangelist at ABBYY, Andrew advocates for responsible product-development practices that embed ethical principles, privacy, transparency, accountability, and appropriate governance throughout the AI lifecycle.
Andrew is also certified by forHumanity in the independent auditing of AI systems under the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act, reflecting his commitment to advancing independent assurance as an important mechanism for translating emerging AI regulation and governance principles into demonstrable accountability.
He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), and International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
