Alan is a seasoned IT, Security and GRC professional with over 25 years of experience and 18 years as a freelance consultant. A certified CISSP and BSI-certified ISO 42001 practitioner, he operates as an AI and Cybersecurity advisor at AssessedIntelligence and is the founder of Meta-Layer Lab, providing bespoke AI solutions with Forhumanity as a trusted client.
His strategic pivot towards AI governance in 2023 was driven by the recognition of the dangers of social media and unethical algorithms. Joining ForHumanity in August 2023, he became qualified as a trained expert in the Risk Management Framework, a trained expert in Algorithmic Ethics, and most recently an FHCA certified auditor in AAA Cybersecurity and now a certified auditor in GDPR, marking the beginning of his journey into AI regulatory compliance.

Alan brings an emotionally intelligent approach to ForHumanity work, with training in Nero-linguistic programming and has spent a dedicated year developing his technical skills in generative AI tools and agentic workflows. “You can’t govern Ai if you haven’t used it every day for a year”
