Merve is part of IEEE workgroups 7008 and P2863 that work to set global standards and frameworks on ethics of autonomous and intelligent systems; is an instructor at RMDS Lab providing training on AI & Ethics; a founding editorial board member of Springer Nature AI & Ethics journal; and a technical/policy expert for AI Policy Exchange.
