ForHumanity Fellow – AI Assurance and Tech

Carolina holds a PhD on Environmental Science and Machine Learning and has led and collaborated in numerous research and innovation projects focusing on new technologies, in particular Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the past few years, she has worked as Senior Research Expert on AI, engaging with a variety of stakeholders such as government agencies, private companies, academia, NGOs and start-ups developing awareness and understanding of AI. Working for the National Air Traffic Services (NATS) agency in the UK and Cranfield University, she has been focusing her career on AI trustworthiness, explainability and regulatory guidelines in the area of Aviation, disseminating knowledge through conferences, symposiums, presentations and workshops. Recently, she has joined the Spanish Government Standardisation Committee on AI and Big Data.
